By registering on the “Sapphire Forum” site, you agree to abide by the following rules and guidelines set by the “Sapphire Forum” staff. These rules are meant to make these forums a safe and friendly place to discuss and help each other, while also building a healthy community. All members must abide by these rules, or be subjected to punishments ranging from thread closures to temporary and permanent bans.

Rule #1: Membership

a) Membership within “Sapphire Forum” is a privilege given by the “Sapphire Forum” staff, and not a right.
b) Membership can be revoked at any time at the discretion of the administrators and moderators of “Sapphire Forum”.
c) “Sapphire Forums” reserves the right to edit or delete any message for any reason whatsoever at it's own discretion.
d) DO NOT modify, remove or otherwise change any Moderator edits to your posts.


Rule #2: Registering and Username/Handles

a) When registering you must provide a unique username/handle, as well as a unique and valid e-mail address.
b) Duplicate usernames and e-mail addresses are not allowed. If a username or e-mail address is already in use you will be prompted to select another.
c) Each member is granted ONLY one, username. If caught with multiple usenames, all the accounts
d) “Sapphire Forum” may block registration from any specific e-mail service or ISP at it's own discretion.
e) Try a different email account/domain and keep checking your inbox and junk-mail box.
f) Try to avoid using "info", "admin", "spam", "login" or "sapphire" etc @ .. as your email address name, these are filtered due to mass spamming from Russian/Chinese domains using this type of username.
g) Enter the correct TimeZone / IP location. Failure to do so may result in a 48Hr account suspension to avoid spoofed IP accounts used by Russian/Chinese spammers. After the suspension is lifted, change the details ASAP or the account may be banned to avoid possible spam abuse.


Rule #3: Create Threads/Posts in the Appropriate Sections


Rule #4: “Forum Flood” is not prohibited

“Forum Flood” includes the following:
a) Two or more consecutive posts in a row within the same thread.
Please use the edit function, via the “Edit” button, to add, update, and/or correct the content of your post without needing to make an additional post.
b) SPAM and Unintelligible/Unclear Posts
“Stupid Posts and Messages” which are not related to the original topic of the thread will not be entertained will most likely be deleted on sight. Also please make sure your posts can easily be read by other members, and are universally understandable and clear when expressing opinions and thoughts, to avoid confusion and misunderstandings. Unfortunately, we currently don't have a sections for languages other than English at this time.
c) Creating another thread which is similar to an existing thread.
Before you create a new thread, please use the search function in the forum to see if there is an already existing thread that you can use as a reference. If that particular thread is inactive or is unable to provide assistance, you can make a new thread with a reference to the existing thread in your first post.
d) Image Spamming in a single post
Please provide thumbnails or URL links, if you are going to post multiple pictures in a single post.


Rule #5: Forum Ethics and Courtesies

a) Respect other members opinions.
Different people have different views, so please show courtesy to others if their opinion differs from yours. If you are planning to pursue an arguement, please criticize the opinion and not the person.
b) Racism is forbidden
Inflammatory remarks about another member's culture, religion, country, or ethnicity intended to entice hate will not be tolerated.
c) Harassing/flaming/flame-baiting will not be tolerated
d) Please refrain from using swear/cuss words excessively.


Rule #6: All Content Posted in the Forum Must Be “Work Safe” and Legal.

That means no explicit contents, posted or linked visible images. Images that are generally marked as gross, sick, or offensive in nature will be edited or removed appropriately. Should you want to post it, make sure that appropriate warnings are mentioned in the particular thread shown. Make sure that a warning is indicated CLEARLY in the post when you do post such explicit images or any sites that may be harmful in any way. This also depends on the number of complaints received from members or if it goes against our better judgment, the thread will be removed without prior notice.

Also, threads/post containing or directing to copyrighted materials and illegal content, including cracks, patches, serial numbers, etc etc will be deleted.


Rule #7: Invasion of Privacy of Other Members Will Not Be Tolerated

a) Do NOT share accounts.
b) Do NOT attempt to guess passwords for accounts that do not belong to you.
c) Impersonating other members, especially the staff, is strictly prohibited.
Accounts that have an uncanny resemblance to staff accounts will be removed from the user database.


Rule #8: Signature/Avatar Guidelines.

Avatars and signatures must follow the “Work Safe” guidelines that are already established. Signature limits are 700 pixels in width and 150 pixels in height and have a total combined picture size limit of 100kb. Invalid signatures can and will be removed without warning.


Rule #9: Site Promotions and Advertisements are prohibited.

Creating a thread with the intention of promoting your own (or an affiliated site) is strictly prohibited. Advertisements such as “free PCs, or cheap sneakers, etc etc” are not allowed. These threads and posts will be deleted on sight.

Links to sites that contributes to the topic of the thread are allowed though.

Please use the report button, or send a “Personal Message” to any of the admins/mods, if you find other members who are breaking the rules. However, if you intentionally report or falsely accuse someone with intention of degrading the forums, you will be subjected to a fitting punishment.
