Welcome to the Hardware Section, the heart and soul of the Sapphire Technology Forums! This section is a place where you can talk about various Sapphire Technology products within their own specific sections. On top of posting new information about a certain product, this is a good section to use when asking for help when encountering problems using Sapphire Technology products.
That being said, there are rules and guidelines that one must follow on top of the ones found HERE (http://www.sapphireforum.com/announcement.php?f=35&a=24).
#1 - Official Tech Support?
First and foremost, this is NOT an “Official Tech Support” forum for Sapphire Technology and "sapphiretech.com". This is a “User Based Forum” created so that Sapphire users can help other Sapphire users solve problems that one may have when using Sapphire products. There is no guarantee that you will get an answer for your problems.
If no one has a solution to your problem, or if you want to contact “Official Tech Support”, then you need to go to the Sapphire Support Page (https://support.sapphiretech.com/presentation/member/member_login.aspx) and submit a "Sapphire Support Ticket".
#2 – RMAs
This forum takes no part in dealing with RMAs. If you need a replacement component, you should contact the original dealer/reseller where you bought the product first, since the the warranty is suppose to be carried out through the initial place of purchase.
If you are unable to get help through the dealer/reseller, here is the contact information for the RMA handlers in their respected regions:
European Region: eutech@sapphiretech.com
United States: rma@althonmicro.com
Canada: rma@althon.com
Asia and Pacific Region: tech@sapphiretech.com
#3 – Research
Please at least attempt to do some “basic research” in finding a solution to your problem before you post up a new thread. This can be done through a simple Google/forum search or even just looking through the Sapphire Support FAQs page found HERE (http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/support/?cid=2&psn=000202&lid=1). And if what you found on Sapphire Support FAQs/Google/forum search does not work then please post the things you tried/researched along with your problem, so people can give you fresh approaches in solving your problem.
Just as stated in the main forum rules, threads with similar topics will be closed/deleted.
#4 – Begging/Bumping
Begging/bumping your thread to grab people's attention is forbidden. If you don't receive an answer to your problem, then it's likely that the other users are just as stumped as you are.
#5 – Modding
Any threads/posts discussing voltage modding, BIOS modding, cooler modding, wire modding will be removed from this section due to Sapphire's request, since a lot of RMAs have been victims of bad modding and overzealous overclocking. If you really want to discuss these things, you can head to the Overclocking and Modding Discussion section (http://www.sapphireforum.com/forumdisplay.php?9-Overclocking-and-Modding-Discussion).
But remember that ANY modding will VOID THE WARRANTY of your Sapphire Products!
#6 – Don't give suggestions if you don't know the answer.
Bad advice usually leads to more problems that can potentially lead to bigger disasters.
#7 – Making a Troubleshoot Thread
If you are going to post a thread about your problem, please remember to provide as much information about the problem, and the computer that has the problem, as you possibly can. (We are “users” and not “techs” after all.)
Below is a template on what your troubleshooting thread should include.
