Hi everyone wasup?? I've just bought an ati radeon sapphire HD 7850 2 GB and I've got a problem. In the package box says that I can download win xp drivers from www.sapphiretech.com but I can't see where they are. I downloaded the Hydra vision and Catalyst but after I install them nothing happens and everything is still the same. When I move diffrent windows or I scroll down internet sites it's like everything moves slow and bad.

Please can somebody help me??
Thanks a lot.

PS: I've tried resetting the computer after I installed the program and still nothing.

They already released that box sticker?? ::facepalm::
But yeah, that box sticker was released prematurely. AMD says that XP support is going to be implemented in Catalyst Version 12.4 WQHL, which is going to be released at around the end of this month. So if you want to hang on to the HD 7850, you're going to have to be a bit more patient.

Sorry, there is really nothing that Sapphire can do on this end, since AMD is holding the keys.

Thanks but anyway what is the Catalyst. I honestly can't understand it. And how can I know when they are going to release the 12.4 version?

And by the way, any ideas of to activate the onboard graphicas car in the meantime??

Thanks a lot.

"Catalyst" is the name for AMDs Driver Package for their video cards.

To be honest we don't know the exact date that AMD is going to release the latest version of Catalyst. The only for sure way to check and see when they upload their latest drivers is by checking AMDs Support and Drivers Page, http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx, and fill the necessary information within the "Download Drivers" section. When the XP Drivers are released, AMD will add it under the "Operating System" pull down menu.

You can activate your on-board graphics card through your BIOS settings. I'm not sure under which specific menu since you didn't specify your motherboard, but most likely it's within the "Chipset" menu.

And normally AMD releases one update of its drivers every month, being the 12.4 the ones that have to be released this month (April), so take a look over the last days of April to see if AMD have released them ;)
