    Default Overheating problems PC-AM2RS790G

Hi guys..i have the followig problem my Sapphire MB model PC-AM2RS790G is overheating i get really high temp on my NB heatsink 58 C in idle and 67 in load.I dont think its a sensor problem beacouse i touched the NB cooler and it is preaty hot.I tried the new bios they released on 22 May but still the same ..i get high temps.
I have the following config: Amd Phenom II 710,MB Sapphire PC-AM2RS790G, Kingmax 2x2 GB Mars DDR2 1066 Mhz, Sapphire Ati HD4850 Toxic 512 Mb, X-fi Xtrem audio,HDD Samsung 320 GB Sata, PSU Seasonic S12 Energy** 550 W,Case with 2x120 mm fans.
I think it has something to do with the voltage set by my MB in BIOS -the voltage set by default by my MB in bios: VDIMM 1.95 V, NB Core Voltage Setting 1.30 V, NB PCIE Voltage setting 1.15 V, CPU-NB Voltage Default.

    Please HELP!!! THX

    Heya,..

That ain't a high temp at all for the NB .. but you could drop it by powering that system correctly / replacing the thermal paste.

    Your PSU - x4 12V rails @ 10.25A/rail ( 41A total/4 ) .. you're up to ~30A with the CPU/VGA/HDD/DDR as it is ..

That ain't really classed as high temps, but you'll be doing yourself a big favour by powering the card/system with the correct PSU .. and before you ask - read the STICKY threads and use the search engine, questions about PSUs and recommended units have been discussed a zillion times already.

Thx for the info..i didn't think 41 Amps wasen't enough. I will borrow a 850 W Corsair PSU (i think its like 70 Amps) from a friend to do a quick test and see the result.

yes get it and never return it ...... also use a fan on the NB at all times, the passive cooling is not exactly the smartest idea to do.
Little bit of this little bit of that....

Ok...so i tryed the Corsair PSU and same result..MB still hot..the power supply dosent heat so much as my Seasonic in load..but that is normal because it has almost double the Amps.So i sold my Sapphire MB and bought a GIGABYTE MA790X-UD4 with ultra durable 3, it runns much more cooler then the Sapphire MB i get like 39 C in idle .But when i get some money i will go for a Corsair CMPSU-850HX its a work of art .Thx for all the help
