.. and we would of course, as nobody here can remote view or mind-read or gain access to any other supernatural psychic powers etc, have to have a bit of information to go on .. Just like the information as asked for in the MASSIVELY UNMISSABLE STICKY THREAD IN BOLD AND RED with the title asking to be READ BEFORE you post ..
Please read it and post up the information asked for .. TIA.
@Gr33nGecko: Relax GG... Go to your happy place ^-^ (Sorry I was reading your post as if you're shouting, that's the power of red.)
@taylorp3: But yeah, we need the hardware/software information about your current rig in order to deduce what you're problem is. But just in case, make sure that all the power connectors are plugged into the graphics card (considering this is your first build and all) and make sure all your parts are locked into place.

I have no os atm
I was testing a prebuild my parts are
Amd fx 4100
8gbs ddr3 1333 ram
ocz modstream pro 500w modular psu
Sapphire Radeon HD 6750 1gb ddr5 (most likely problem source)
When i power on the mobo with all the parts the graphics card looks on and the fan spins but the monitor has a black screen no bios or anything no signal at all.
i have tried it with 2 monitors and 2 different connectors.
I need help cuz this card was a really good deal the best one for the price at microcenter all the rest had ddr3 memory and were a higher price than this one.
I hope you guys can help :P
OH yes the mobo is the asus m5a97
Do you happen to know what mainboard BIOS was shipped with it ? If it's of old stock then it might be due to an older BIOS not recognising CPU as it was updated from the original 0503 to 0813 to accept the FX-4100 CPU. If you have an old CPU which figures on their CPU support table as compatible with the older 0503 BIOS, then try that .. see if it BOOTs to a screen.
If not, you could probably bribe a buddy with beer for him to let you test the VGA card in his rig, just to see if it does in fact get a signal to monitor etc, which would eliminate the VGA card and point to the mainboard/CPU scenario ..
@EWP - Nah, it was for effect, seeing as the stickies are in RED![]()
.. heheh.
You'd need a supported CPU as mentioned .. If there's a local PC/IT Shop around your local area, maybe take it in and ask nicely if one of their techs could have a look at it, if you don't have any friends who'd let you cross-check things with their system(s) .. ..
