Default VS8 died in themiddle of a movie

So my 2 week old VS8 is dead.

I was watching a movie, when suddenly the tv screen (connected with HDMI) went blank. The computer was still running as the power light was on, but there's no picture on tv. Other symptom is that I can't turn the computer off. Only way to power it off is to unplug the power cord.

I tried to connect it to another monitor, but there's no picture.

So it seems it goes back to the shop, in case there isn't any magic trick to revive the machine?

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah, I too think it's time for the VS8 to go back to the shop.

Yes, already on its way. I just hope that it isn't a wider problem with them.

I just want to express my deepest unsatisfaction. I sent the computer back to the reseller, who in his words sent it to a distributor. The distributor/manufacturer has closed the ticket over 2 weeks ago, but I still haven't received a replacement. So in case you are planning to buy this computer and if it's required for your work or something productive, don't bother. If simple procedure like this takes over 6 weeks to handle most people can't or don't want to wait.

That would depend on the store/shop you bought it and its policy on devolutions, right? You didn´t tramitate this into Sapphire RMA itself, right?

Well the instructions I got from the shop was to send it back and they handle it "swiftly". In case the distributor then needs to check it with Sapphire they will do so. But you are right, if Sapphire handled the matter completely I would probably already have it back. Usually it's like that. Only exception ever, was with a liquid cooling part I bought.

But anyway, I'm just so frustrated, maybe the next guy sends it directly to Sapphire.
